Nose

Now, that’s a serious oak fest! Toasted butter toffee, fresh wood shavings, sultana and baked coconut. Hard barley and herbal, grain spirit notes appear along with granite, salty notes.

Palate

Herbal grain-like spirit and lightly dried fruit. The oak arrives quickly, but the alcohol and the graininess keep it in check.\n

Finish

Long with the dried fruit being joined by some delightful spices. Superb intensity with lingering smoke and herbal notes. \n

Comment

The oak was a bit too dominant on the nose, however the palate is beautifully balanced.
