Nothing wrong with this, perhaps a little dry for my tastes, but has some interesting top notes to explore.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Slighty off the bat, with a little ripe orchard fruit, hints of American bubble gum and some drying woody tones.

Palate: Hot, with some roasted coffee/cocoa bean notes, leading into a touch of leather/wood and a discreet perfumed smoke note hidden away. Like a secret door in the back of a wardrobe.

Finish: The lingering toasted notes are dominant here, with a touch of spice developing alongside a decent drying oakiness.

Comment: Nothing wrong with this, perhaps a little dry for my tastes, but has some interesting top notes to explore.

Taster

Nose: A little minerally, acetone, pear drops, key lime pie, fresh printed magazines, glue sticks. Melon and Parma ham. A soft hint of tobacco too.

Palate: Big sweet waves with a touch of warm sourdough bread, that acidity. Roast tomatoes and sweet balsamic. A touch of gentle smokiness at the end.

Finish: Dry, but it has a refreshing and revitalising quality to it.

Comment: A good pick me up whisky. Pre dinner conversation starter.
