Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Earthy and malty. Wet straw, light smoke close to the ground, like on a foggy, rainy day. In the back, grassy notes and a touch of orange zest. Invigorating. \r

Palate: Sweet at first then getting fizzy with a salty feel. The feel you have when you walk by the shore. Hint of custard. Appetising.

Finish: Medium long, dry, with a spicy twist. \r

Comment: Where is the seafood platter? A lovely dram with a perfect balance between the malty flavours and the gentle smoke.

Score: 8.3

Taster

Nose: Big BBQ pork notes, chopped green chilli, new leather, dry heather and paprika. A top note of lime.\r

Palate: Delicate smoke, which is meaty yet sweet, intense yet balanced. This is heavily cask influenced but retains its own core personality of delicate peat and oily natural sweetness. \r

Finish: Peat, pork, syrup.\r

Comment: Very sweet, peaty but drinkable.
