Needs more assertive wood. Should really be further along at this age.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Almost as pale as 20. Light white rum. Still raw and grassy with a little smoke. Mealy but unformed.

Palate: Birch sap wine. There's a decent central sweetness and a likeable fizzy quality but too unripe and edgy for me and, once again, not enough interaction.

Finish: Simple.

Comment: Needs more assertive wood. Should really be further along at this age.

Score: 6.7

Taster

Nose: Peaty, smoky. Grassy. Dune herbs, bonfire. Soot. Lemonade. Not a lot\rbehind the smoke screen.

Palate: Sweet and smoky. Bog myrtle, lemon drop. Mint and aniseed. Refreshing if\rnot extremely aromatic.

Finish: Sweet and smoky.

Comment: A pleasant dram for refreshment but lacks substance for enjoyment.
