Nose: Gorgeous floral notes emerge with peony and daffodil. The oak sits centre stage holding the floral and spiced notes together. Old dusty papers and a hint of Tabasco.
Palate: Caramel, chocolate and tinned strawberries. That floral edge is there, but is mainly dominated by the oak and toffee notes. Toasted walnuts too.
Finish: Those tinned strawberries turn from sweetness to cracked black pepper laced with wood tannins.

Nose: Roasted and salted pistachios, pineapple leaves, nectar honey and raspberry jelly babies. Hints of old leather belts and an edge of floral smoke.
Palate: Surprisingly smooth, a well-balanced loop of smoked bacon rashers, chargrilled pineapple, sugar coated almonds and gorse flower, with the delightful creaminess of smoked applewood.
Finish: Sweet spices linger through the smoky notes creating a rounded finish.
Comment: Intriguingly different with every sip yet still a perfectly balanced blend.
Score: 8.9
