Nose: Odd winey notes, slightly sour. Green plum and pear drops, then a note like warm Fino sherry. Touch of saltiness and a little smoke. In time oilskins. Water adds complexity. Seems old but very fresh.
Palate: Rounded and sweet. Deep palate where the vanilla/coconut notes mix with nutmeg and that briny quality. Olive. Succulent and long.
Finish: Coal dust.
Comment: Great balance. Worth a look.

Nose: Enticing, sweet and fresh. A full basket of juicy fruit. Ripe pears, quince, white peaches. With luscious creamy notes topping the fruit. Hint of grapefruit and tangerine.
Palate: Just as enticing. What you nose is what you get. Clean and crisp with a good depth.
Finish: Drier with a pleasant display of soft spices.
Comment: A superb dram combining fruit and spice in the most elegant way.
Score: 8.5
