Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Light fruits and floral notes. An intriguing mix of citric and savoury: orange bitters and boot polish. Water gives it a lovely spring-like lift: leafy, damp and a light buttery edge.

Palate: Sweet and medium-bodied, the flavours all concentrated on the middle of the tongue. Dries quite quickly with a hint of charcoal. Strangely attractive.

Finish: Smooth.

Comment: Approachable. I like it.

Score: 7.5

Taster

Nose: Dryish. Vanilla-pods. Fragrant.

Palate: Lightly malty character. Some caramel-like flavours.

Finish: Faint suggestion of peat (or char?).

Comment: Pleasant enough, but a Breton whisky should surely offer some kind of regional difference?
