Nose: All sweetness with cornflakes and honey, white chocolate pennies, white toast and strawberry jam. Fresh cut and boiled corn cobs. Wheat crackers then barley sugar water, peach flavoured.
Palate: Huge sweetness that lasts and clings, orange oil, lime zest punches, then spices rise in the form of chilli oil. Cherry compote and fresh meringue.
Finish: Spicy, then drying with that chilli seed heat.
Comment: Oh grain, with this excellence you should be on everyone’s agenda.

Taster
Nose: Definitely has that distinctive hot acetate note straight off the nose. Cooked red apples in red wine vinegar, baked salmon and candied lemon peel begin to appear though.
Palate: Surprisingly creamy – buttered scones and banana milkshakes. Sweet fruits with Irn Bru and peaches in syrup followed by gingerbread, cloves and fennel seeds.
Finish: This grain surprises you with every sip as new flavours just keep creeping up on you.
Comment: If the Pink Panther theme tune was a whisky….
Score: 8.9
