Nose
At first, waxed canvas jacket, cheese cloth, and orange-flavoured Starburst. Then pine nuts, dried banana chips, fresh apricot, and vanilla. Very subtle moss. Spicy ginger cake. Orange-peel oils.
Palate
Medium. Plum, leaning into prune. Dark chocolate and stem ginger. Crystallised pineapple. Hazelnut syrup and sweetened black coffee. Buttery vanilla fudge. Some zingy orange peel remains.
Finish
Medium, drying, with fading notes of dark chocolate and dried cranberry.
Comment
This had some enjoyable flavours, but lacked richness.
