Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Massive in every way- cola cubes and Dr pepper all thrown together with cream soda.

Palate: With water, this gives some nice hickory tones but this has had proper wood interaction: it's been to oak bootcamp and come away with huge muscles. Not subtle, it is however, packed with flavour.

Finish: Strong tea with a big spoon of brown sugar.

Comment: GI Joe on steroids, huge.

Taster

Nose: The wood dominates, with a little spice/cola sweetness. Water helps put the fire out.

Palate: Lovely rich honey, cinnamon and clove notes some spiced apple and moist oak. With water, the creamy notes start to develop, with hints of vanilla ice cream and dried fruit developing.

Finish: Drying, with lingering dark honey.

Comment: I know I sound like a wimp, but this is just too high an abv, to really enjoy. To use a food analogy, I’d much rather eat a chicken tikka than a vindaloo and get flavour, rather than just fire.
