Rich and deep but the alcohol is not mastered. Too much of a burning dram for me.

Taster

Nose: Intense. Burnt caramel. Maple syrup. Sour plum jam. Prunes. A waxy touch. Cedar wood.

Palate: Crisp. Burning. Spices tease the tongue. The alcohol is sharp.

Finish: Quite long, spicy. A nutty aftertaste.

Comment: Rich and deep but the alcohol is not mastered. Too much of a burning dram for me.

Score: 7.3

Taster

Nose: A heavy tobacco, humidor note. Burnt sugar, orange marmalade, treacle and\ra little Parkin cake.

Palate: Full on and complex. Vanilla, cinnamon and orange marmalade soak through the alcohol.

Finish: Long, it lingers.

Comment: A full on bourbon. A rollercoaster ride worth taking.
