Nose

Slightly buttery malt and a strange (non-peaty) smokiness like heavily roasted nuts.

Palate

This burnt/roasted quality hits you immediately, then comes the soft sweet buttery/oily centre, then a slight bitterness.

Finish

Soft and long.

Comment

It doesn't quite hang together, but hits the mouth in three totally separate sections. I can understand the underlying idea, it just hasn't been pulled off.
