Nose: Lovely and expressive. Juicy tropical fruit, some orange peel and cranberry fruit, sweet spice, clove, pine and freshly laundered sheets. There’s a touch of beef jerky in the background, but overall it’s that fresh sheet smell that pervades.
Palate: Fresh sheet aroma plays out on the palate before you take a bite of some cinnamon and chocolate-sprinkled French toast with a big vanilla pod on top.
Finish: Butterscotch and some fresh pine glide along.
Comment: Chocolate and spice and all things nice.
Nose: Cherries and jam tarts, with sweet pastry. Vanilla custard. Highly perfumed. Herbal. Fennel and peppermint, but dominant vanilla and cherries.
Palate: Plum jam, blackcurrant cordial and Morello cherries. Vanilla, with blackcurrants, blackberries, redcurrants and ketchup. Great balance of fruity acidity and syrupy sweetness.
Finish: Nutmeg and pepper, with a cherry sweetness and peppermint.
Comment: Well defined flavours, intense and balanced. Time brings rewards.
