I think drinkers of this style of whiskey might find this a little weak, but I really like it.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Corn-fed roast chicken, rubbed with allspice and crisped up nicely. There is a cooked red meat note that rises up from the glass. All in, a meaty old nose!

Palate: Pork scratching and a pint of real ale, followed by a big bowl of strawberry jelly. This starts off meaty and slightly salty before getting sweet and utterly delicious. \n

Finish: The sweetness remains to give a really easy drinking whiskey that seemed like it might be a challenge at first.\n

Comment: I think drinkers of this style of whiskey might find this a little weak, but I really like it.

Taster

Nose: Soft toffee and corn with hard, brittle barley, light honey and a touch of waxy citrus. Subtly oaked with a light floral hyacinth-like note developing.

Palate: Lightly smoked with über sweet honey and syrup, with the alcohol struggling to keep it in check. Light mentholated herbs and toasty oak follow.\n

Finish: Long, lightly spiced and remaining sweet, although the spices build intensity.\n

Comment: I liked the nose but the palate was a little sweet and simplistic.
