Nose

Rich, malty, sweet: nutty toffee, caramelised apple, vanilla, butterscotch. With water, light spice and smoke, balsa wood and a sappy youthfulness.

Palate

A sweet, nutty start, then dries. Good weight with slightly hard spirit. Decent balance.

Finish

Dry, fresh.

It just might benefit from a little more time in the cask.
